About Us

We are WoodIdeas, a family business based in Odesa, Ukraine. We started in 2018 with a passion for woodworking, board games, and thoughtful design. Today, we create wooden games and objects that combine craftsmanship, functionality, and a distinctive visual character.

What We Make

We create unique board games, game accessories, and design objects from solid, eco-friendly wood. Our goal is to rethink familiar forms and turn them into something new while preserving their essence and purpose.

How We Make It

Every WoodIdeas piece is handmade in our workshop. We carefully select the wood, shape and finish each piece, and pay close attention to the details that make the final object both beautiful and functional. We do not mass-produce our designs — each piece receives the attention it deserves.

What Inspires Us

We are inspired by the idea that good design can be simple, functional, and meaningful. The Bauhaus chess set, for example, showed how simple geometric forms can express the very nature of a game. This principle influences our own work: we look for ways to make familiar ideas simpler, clearer, and more distinctive.

Our Principles

Wood is at the heart of everything we do. We use solid wood and never use endangered woods or animal-derived materials such as ivory or camel bone.

When working with existing designs, we respect their creators and copyright holders and reproduce them only with appropriate permission.

Work With Us

Have an idea for a wooden game or object? We are open to collaboration and custom projects. Whether you want to improve an existing design or create something entirely new, we would be happy to explore the idea with you.

Wood is timeless. It inspires. It lives.
