Fidchell or Gwyddbwyll (translated from both languages as Wooden Wisdom) was a board game popular among the ancient Celts. Fidchell was played between two people who moved an equal number of pieces across a board.
Material - solid ash wood. The board is stabilized with epoxy resin. All cracks are only visual. Each segment of the board is unique in its texture.
Board size - diameter 480 mm / 18.9", thickness 42 mm / 1.65"
Board weight is about 6.4 kg
Thin lines are hand cut.
The King or Navel Stone made from onyx stone 38 mm/1,5" diameter.
Wooden pieces is about 25 mm/0,95" diameter.
Cloth bags for storing pieces. The bags can be used as bowls during the game.
