Mini Chess 5×6 is a compact version of classic chess played on a 5×6 board. There are several variations of 5×6 mini chess, including Petty Chess, Speed Chess, Elena Chess, QuickChess, Chess Attack, and MinitChess. In 1994, László Polgár published Minichess 777+1 Positions (Quickchess Teaches Chess Quick), a book devoted entirely to chess on the 5×6 board.
